Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on January 8, 2026.

We at Old Town Bake Shop are working to make our site www.oldtownbakeshop.com accessible to people with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

Old Town Bake Shop is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to improve accessibility on an ongoing basis as our site and menu evolve. This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. As part of this effort, we have also:

  • Set the language of the site

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Maintained readable font sizes

  • Avoided using color alone to convey meaning

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Conformance Status

Our goal is WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. At this time, the site is partially conformant: most key functions meet Level AA, and we are working to resolve remaining issues as we discover them.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include third-party content or integrations (e.g., payment gateways like PayPal or Square). While we cannot control these providers, we select widely used services that strive for accessibility and we will forward any issues to them where appropriate.

Known Limitations

We are actively monitoring and improving the following:

  • Occasional decorative images may lack empty alt text.

  • Third-party widgets (e.g., payment or map embeds) may not fully meet WCAG AA.

  • Legacy content or seasonal images may need manual alt text review.

If you encounter any issue not listed here, please let us know so we can address it quickly.
